Cryogenic Turbine Flow Meter
Liquid nitrogen flow meter is a commonly used cryogenic flow meter. The low-temperature turbine flowmeter is a dedicated liquid nitrogen flowmeter. It can also be used to measure cryogenic liquids such as liquid oxygen.
Liquid nitrogen refers to liquid nitrogen. Liquid with extremely low temperature. In industrial production, liquid nitrogen can be used as a deep refrigerant. The low-temperature turbine flowmeter is used as a liquid nitrogen flowmeter, which can work at a low temperature of -196°C (-320.8 °F). Liquid Nitrogen Flow Meter’s Turbine sensor structure at ultra-low temperature (-196℃) is made of special customized material, and it is equipped with low temperature resistant amplifier. Realize the instantaneous and cumulative flow monitoring of liquid nitrogen.
Cryogenic Mass Flow Meter
Cryogenic Mass Flow Meter is developed for measuring cryogenic media such as liquefied natural gas. The flow meter consists of a mass flow sensor and a transmitter. Adopting high-efficiency heat insulation technology to effectively control the heat exchange between LNG and other low-temperature media when flowing through the sensor. Reduce the vaporization of LNG and other low-temperature media in the pipeline, thereby reducing the impact of vaporization on flow measurement.
The equipped transmitter uses a digital signal processor (DSP) to process the collected signals, and has the ability to judge the real-time state of the medium and other intelligent self-diagnosis functions. Temperature measurement range: -200-350℃.
Orifice flowmeter for cryogenic fluid
At present, many flow measuring instruments for extremely low temperature fluids are orifice flowmeters, and their reliability is also very high.
- The material is 316L;
- In order to prevent fluid leakage caused by cold shrinkage. It is recommended to use welding method to connect, the orifice plate and the pipe use the same material;
- The porous orifice plate has advantages in the flow measurement of very low temperature fluids such as liquefied natural gas. Because the gas that may be generated can flow smoothly downstream from the small holes on the upper part of the orifice plate, and no gas accumulates in front of the orifice plate.
Orifice flowmeter for cryogenic fluid
Target flow meter, also called drag force flowmeter. Target flow meter inserts a target (drag element) into the flow field. The traget usually is a flat disc or a sphere with an extension rod. There will be a differential pressure. And then target flow meters measure the drag force on the inserted target and convert it to the flow rate. Industrial cryogenic fluids generally refer to fluids with a boiling point below -50°C under atmospheric pressure. How does a cryogenic flow meter work?
Different cryogenic flow meters have different working principles. Here we choose the commonly used target type flowmeter to introduce the working principle.
When the medium flows in the measuring tube, the pressure difference caused by its own kinetic energy passing through the blocking member (target). And has a force on the blocking member. The magnitude of the force is proportional to the square of the velocity of the medium.
The mathematical way is as follows:
F = CdAρ • V2 / 2
In the formula: F —— the force of the choke (kg)
Cd-object resistance coefficient
A ——Axial projection area of the choke on the measuring tube (mm2)
ρ ——Density of medium under working conditions (kg / m3)
v-average flow velocity of the medium in the measuring tube (m / s)
The force F received by the choke member (target) is transmitted to the capacitive force sensor via a rigidly connected transmission member (stem).
And the capacitive force sensor generates a voltage signal output:
V = KF
In the formula:
V——Voltage output by the capacitive force sensor (mV), K——Proportional constant, F——The acting force of the choke (target)
So, after the voltage signal is pre-amplified, AD converted. And processed by the computer. The corresponding instantaneous flow and cumulative total can be obtained.
