Features of Heating oil

The heat transfer oil furnace uses heavy oil, a light oil, or combustible liquid as fuel. Heat transfer oil is the heat carrier. The circulating oil pump is used to force the liquid phase to circulate. The heat energy is transferred to the heating equipment. Then it returns to the reheated DC special industrial furnace.

Thermal oil is widely used in petrochemicals, textiles, printing, and dyeing, plastics, rubber, food processing, wood processing, asphalt heating, carton production, vegetable dehydration, baking varnish, casting sand mold drying, etc. It can also be used for baking, steaming, shaping, melting, and drying at ≤ 350℃.

Heating oil flow meters are based on the temperature of the heat transfer oil on the customer site to select the corresponding heat transfer oil flowmeter.

Generally, vortex flowmeters and high-temperature oval gear flowmeters can be used for temperatures around 200 degrees.

Orifice flowmeters can be used for high temperatures, so as to ensure the durability, practicability, and long service life of the heat-conducting oil flowmeter. The advantages of the heat-conducting oil flowmeter are high measurement accuracy and good stability.

Suitable for all kinds of heat-conducting oil flow meters. The complete system of heat-conducting oil flow meters consists of flow sensors, intelligent liquid crystal heat totalizers, temperature and pressure compensation components and instrument valve components.

Let’s briefly compare the advantages and disadvantages of heating oil flow meters:

Gear flow meter for Micro flow

The gear flow meter is a micro digital positive displacement flow meter. Can measure very small flow rates and quantify small volumes of liquid. High and low-temperature resistance (-196℃-200℃).

The Gear flow meter for Microflow is made of stainless steel and is used for precise continuous or intermittent measurement of the flow or instantaneous flow of liquid. It is especially suitable for the flow measurement of heavy oil, polyvinyl alcohol, grease, and other high-viscosity media. It can measure the viscosity of Fluid up to 10000Pa.s.

The vortex flowmeter is a volume flow meter that measures the volume flow of gas, steam, or liquid, the volume flow of standard conditions, or the mass flow of gas, steam, or liquid-based on the Karman vortex principle. When the fluid flows through the dust collector rod of the vortex flowmeter, a vortex is formed. The frequency of vortex shedding is proportional to the fluid velocity. Temperature and pressure compensation can be configured.

Advantages: relatively wide range, convenient and simple installation;

Disadvantages: poor shock resistance, high cost if the temperature of the measured medium is high.

The nozzle of the temperature and high-pressure welding orifice plate adopts the standards of the Ministry of Water Resources and Electric Power. The standard is (DG0700-DG0750). Welded integrated orifice plates for high temperature and high pressure are mainly used for measuring orifice plates for high temperature and high-pressure steam flow and high pressure flowing water in power plants.

Advantages: good shock resistance, high temperature resistance, relatively reasonable price;

Disadvantages: The range is relatively narrow, only 1:3, which makes installation more troublesome;


The flow measurement has nothing to do with the fluid flow state, and the measurement range is wide.

The oval gear has high flow measurement accuracy and is suitable for the measurement of the flow of high-viscosity media.

There is no need for straight pipe sections before and after the flowmeter, even if the flowmeter is close to the valve, elbow, shrinking pipe, or expanding pipe, there is no need to install straight pipe sections.

Disadvantages: The product is heavy. It is not available when the temperature exceeds 200℃.

Mechanical fuel flow meter
